Inspections that work offline.

Kermes is a white-label app for inspections and audits. Inspectors fill forms on iOS or Android, with or without a network. Managers review, lock and report in the web dashboard.

Why it exists

The paper form, and the evening it costs you.

Kermes replaces the printed checklist, the photos buried in someone's phone and the spreadsheet typed up after hours. Three situations it gets bought for.

The deposit nobody can prove

TodayThe tenant says the scratch was already there. You have a paper form, a photo with no date, and two people who remember it differently.

With KermesHand-over and return are two inspections. Every answer carries its photos, the person who wrote it and the minute they did.

What you gain — a dispute that ends in thirty seconds instead of a refund given to keep the peace.

The two hours after the round

TodayThe inspector fills the form on paper, then spends the end of the day typing it into a spreadsheet, renaming photos and chasing the ones that never arrived. Count two hours a week, per inspector, for information that was already written down once.

With KermesThe form is filled once, on the phone, and the report comes out of the dashboard.

What you gain — those hours back, and no answer lost between the paper and the file.

The basement with no signal

TodayCold rooms, car parks, sites in the middle of nowhere: the app bought last year needs a network, so the round quietly goes back to paper.

With KermesThe whole inspection works offline — answers, photos, video, comments. One Sync button when the signal comes back.

What you gain — one way of working everywhere, instead of an app for the office and paper for the field.

Bought by property and condo managers, facility and safety teams, and rental fleets — anyone whose people check things in the field and have to prove afterwards what they found.

The film

One minute, the whole idea.

One minute in the field: an inspector answers with no signal at all, two phones disagree and a manager settles it, the inspection is locked — and from then on nobody can quietly change what was found.

What ships

An app for the field. A dashboard for the office.

Three apps on one platform: iOS and Android for inspectors, the web dashboard for managers and admins.

8Field types, from yes/no to photo, video and repeating tables
100 %Of an inspection works offline
3Apps: iOS, Android and web
3Roles: inspector, manager, admin
01

Offline inspections

Inspectors answer questions, take photos and video, and add comments with no network. Everything stays on the phone until the next sync.

02

Eight field types

Text, number, date, yes/no, single choice, photo, video and repeating tables.

03

One sync button

Sync pushes the phone's changes, then pulls the latest. Photos and video upload in the background and retry on the next sync.

04

Conflicts

Changes to different answers merge. When two people change the same answer, the later value stands, the earlier one is kept, and a manager chooses.

05

Review & reports

Managers filter inspections, annotate answers and generate a PDF report. Each report prints its revision number.

06

Locked inspections

A locked inspection cannot change on any device, and phones open it read-only. Only an admin can unlock it, and the unlock is recorded.

07

History & archive

Every change to a submitted inspection records who, when, the old value and the new value. An archived inspection keeps its reason and can come back.

08

Form builder

Admins build forms in the dashboard or import them from Excel. A new form version reaches the phones on their next sync.

09

Roles & sign-in

Inspector, manager and admin roles, with each company's data kept apart. Sign-in tokens stay in the phone's keychain.

Any site

Your forms. Your sites.

Kermes does not assume an industry. You build the forms, and the app follows them.

Property & condos

Unit handovers, move-out checks and common-area rounds. Each answer can carry photos, video and a comment.

Warehouses & facilities

Safety audits, racking checks and site walks. The app does not need a network, so a basement or a cold room works like the front office.

Rental fleets

Check-out and return inspections for motorbikes, cars and vans. Photos at pickup and at return, each in its own inspection.

How it works

Build the form. Inspect anywhere.

Four steps, from an empty form to a locked report.

01

Build

Admins build forms in the dashboard, or import them from Excel.

02

Brand

Your name and logo on the iOS app, the Android app and the dashboard.

03

Inspect

Inspectors capture answers, photos, video and comments offline, then sync when the network returns.

04

Review

Managers annotate, resolve conflicts, lock the inspection and generate the report.

Frequently asked

Questions from the field.

What if there is no signal at all? +
The whole inspection works offline: answers, photos, video and comments. Everything stays on the device until the inspector presses Sync with a network. Photos and video then upload in the background, and an upload that fails retries on the next sync.
What happens when two people edit the same inspection? +
Changes to different answers merge. When two people change the same answer, the later value stands and the value it replaced is kept. The dashboard marks the conflict, and a manager chooses which value to keep.
Can we build our own forms? +
Yes. Admins build forms in the dashboard or import them from Excel. A form uses eight field types: text, number, date, yes/no, single choice, photo, video and repeating tables. A new version of a form reaches the phones on their next sync.
Can an inspection change after sign-off? +
Not once it is locked. A locked inspection cannot change on any device, and the phone opens it read-only. Managers can still add annotations and generate the report. Only an admin can unlock it, and the unlock is recorded in the history.
Are the apps published under our name? +
Yes. We build the iOS and Android apps for each client with your name and logo, and the dashboard carries the same brand.
Where does our data live? +
In a managed PostgreSQL database, with photos and video in S3-compatible storage. Each company sees only its own data. Self-hosting is available on request.
